....and it also has the Vista Sidebar with clock and calendar and etc., but that wasn't captured in this screenshot for some reason. So this looks like Vista, complete with the transparency feature, the sidebar, the round 'start' button, and all, but it's XP Pro underneath all that display. So this is the latest in a series of upgrades of Vista Transformation Pack (version 8.01) and I first started using one of these when it was version 5.5 so I can tell you that there's been quite a few improvements in it along the way - and it now installs much easier, with a lot less user input, and it works smoother, and looks much nicer.
So if you just can't bear to part with your reliable old XP, but you'd like to have the more modern look of Vista Aero, or you simply don't want to spend a lot of money for eye candy, then this is the answer for you - and it's an absolutely free download. It's a lot of program for a freebie, too. This has been a labor of love for its creator for years already, and it is now in great shape.
Here's where to get it if you'd like your own computer to look like Vista but work like XP - just maybe the best of both worlds. Anyway, it works for me, so check it out, Folks.
