Where did Vista Snipping Tool come from?

Probably from this little program called 'Snippy' which works the same way as the Vista one does. You can find it right here and if you are using Windows XP, then this is the XP equivalent of Vista's Snipping Tool. It works very nicely, and saves the captured portions as bitmaps onto the clipboard, from where you can move them to the location of your choice. When I found the Snipping Tool for Vista, I wondered why there wasn't one for XP, and as it happens, there is, and this is it.

Both of these were preceded by 'Captureur' which is a program from France made for older versions of Windows, like 98 and ME and NT 4.0 - but as I discovered some time back, it also works like a charm in XP Pro, perhaps because XP is based on NT. Anyway, if you'd like to try this one, then you can find it right here.
