When I got home, I discovered that the oldest of my two computers, with the XP on it, was refusing to boot at all - so it's now in the shop to see if we can save it. Good thing I got an external hard-drive the other day and used it to back up both machines. If the old one isn't worth saving, then I still have the important stuff on this back-up drive. I'm surprised that your old one is still running...
