Yes! Our prevailing winds are from the west, off the Pacific Ocean, and we usually have the freshest air in the country. Our forests are quite extensive, but a beetle infestation a few years ago has killed off thousands of hectares of prime trees, and created serious problems in the industry. This province once exported half of Canada's forestry products, mostly to the USA, but now the industry is having hard times.
