As the sun sinks slowly in the west....

A large plane settles into the circuit for the airport on the south side of the city, giving us some perspective on those clouds it's flying through.

  1. I was wondering what it was....

Hope you´ve had a wonderful weekend!

I spent most of it roaming our beautiful town. Plenty of sunshine made me feel like a tourist, and yes, I looked like a tourist, with my camera case in front of my belly, haha......

...enjoy. Germany has its nice places, and people can be and indeed are so nice - as long as you don´t meet them on the motorway (virtually no speed limit!!!! Which is crazy and makes people fight with one another whilst sitting behind the steering wheel. Which is so sad!).

And if only there weren´t this tendency to obey rules to the last pixel of the last letter..........

That´s why I seek relief in GC.........

  2. Hmmmm...

So, das autobahn is chaos, jawohl?

I know nothing of the autobahn, but I still have Kraftwerk's 12-inch LP titled Autobahn, and also their other golden oldie Radio-activity.
    Why I'm saving them, I don't know...

We have disagreements on the roads too, but the worst I've ever done is toot the horn while waving a 12-inch adjustable wrench at a guy
who cut me off in the merging lane one night at a bridge approach. He was driving a cute little BMW and we made excellent time crossing the bridge that evening, with me riding his back bumper all the way, just in case he decided to slow down :) He thought his life was in danger, and I thought it was time to show him how to drive.
So I gave him some incentive to try harder. It worked for me!

  3. Hehe, what a funny report, waving a wrench, I can imagine that, haha!!

"Wir fahrn fahrn fahrn auf der Autobahn" goes the lyrics of Kraftwerk´s Autobahn.

We´re driving on the motorway - is the translation. And Kraftwerk means power station.

This song was a hit in the 1980s, among many others in what was then called "the new German wave", which was an effort to make German music more popular, an idea which proved to be a success for many a group at the time.

I have almost all those German songs on my old ....hold tight: Reel to Reel Tapes, haha.
