And now for a little Homer and Jethro......

This one goes all the way back to 1949 - every chance it gets! To find out why, just give it a listen.....I've Got Tears In My Ears

Now aren't you glad you didn't miss that classic?  And you thought you'd heard everything, I betcha.

Adding a bit to this, it turns out that an unknown named Chet Atkins played electric guitar in the background on some of Homer and Jethro's recordings and this got him noticed as a performer in his own right, and got his records selling. Chet credits Homer and Jethro with giving him his start in the business. He later managed the recording studio for RCA in Nashville and gave others their first starts in show business, as well as becoming very famous himself with his guitar.

  2. I just learned something about YouTube: If you do a search for someone, and then on the right in the column of results, at the top of it, if you see one saying "YouTube's medley of so-and-so's videos" and you click on that instead of choosing an individual one in the list, then YouTube will automatically play that whole playlist one after another, and
you can just sit back and enjoy it.

And a big Thank You to YouTube and Google for making it do that for us.
