Nice evening....

Nice for a change....

The folks across the street are dining out...

It's a sign of the times that when I take a picture of a 'nice day' these days,
it's a scene where the sky is only 60% or 75% obscured by clouds, rather than
being 85% or 95% or 100% cloud-covered. I think I'm growing webbed feet....

  1. That's a right sharp lens you have on that camera...Did you use your tripod to steady it?

  2. @ Uncle Ron -

"Sharp lens..." - Yes, it's one of the earlier "superzoom" compact digitals, and this shot was at 24X optical zoom, which is the full out setting, beyond which, it goes into digital zoom, which simply waters down the original pixels with neutral "spacers" in between them,
making everything much noisier and less defined. This camera is a Pentax (made in China) and it's OK when there's lots of light, but not so hot when light is in short supply. But on a bright sunny day, it can shoot for 12 miles and throw rocks the rest of the way....

"Did I use a tripod?" Yes, I did.
I can sometimes get a good freehand shot, but the tripod is a lot more steady because it doesn't have to belch, fart, scratch its nose, or answer the phone :)

    Enjoy your day, Uncle Ron!
