About my Monday's advice on shortcuts, etc.

I was wrong to suggest periodically emptying the Windows Prefetch folder's contents, and I shouldn't have passed along that advice. My thanks to Uncle Ron for asking me about it, and in so doing prompting me to finally do my homework on it.  I should have sought advice from Microsoft directly, and now that I have, I know I was mistaken. 

Here's Microsoft's own explanation of it and this applies to all versions of Windows since XP which use Prefetch. And I really ought to be more careful about where I get my information. Not all those 'experts' on the Internet are really experts - some are just 'more than ten miles from home' - so be careful.
