You can download this freebie from their website here and then let's not hear any more bitching about the missing Start Menu. This also works in Windows 7 in case you'd like it there too.
Here's what it looks like after being installed in Windows 8. I don't have touch on this computer's screen, so I began it by clicking on the little Windows 8 flag in the lower left corner of the desktop....

When I move the mouse cursor over to the right edge of the new Start Menu,
it expands into an even larger window with more choices.....

Here it is in Windows 7. Note that here, it uses the original Start button.
