Just for the hell of it.....

As a matter of curiosity, I opened the firewall log file tonight and did some checking on the IP Addresses that were blocked by the firewall during its first few hours of operations. It was a very enlightening experience. These various remote locations ranged from China and Korea to the Netherlands and Poland, and even included a known hacker in Chicago. Reading that stuff can make you wonder why you bother owning a computer at all, when it seems like half the world's crooks are after you every time you turn the damned thing on. And now we know why it's important to have some good security that works.
