Microsoft is still trying...

Microsoft is still valiantly pretending that there's no such thing as the free and open-source office productivity suite Open Office. Why? Because it's a kick-ass fully-complete office suite easily equal to Microsoft's famous Office, but without the expensive price tag. You just visit the website, and download it, and then install it, and start using it. No $12.00 a month, or buy our Pro version first, or any of that bullshit. And the reason they are trying desperately to pretend there is no such thing is because it was started years ago by an old competitor of Microsoft's called Sun Microsystems, the same folks who have been in lawsuits with Microsoft. That's history now, but many of us haven't forgotten, including the folks at Microsoft. And Open Office was Sun Microsystem's way of giving Microsoft the finger. And I have to tell you, Open Office is one hell of a fine suite of office programs, and if you need an office suite, you should try it. It's not a small program, either - you're looking at over 300 Mb. for the complete suite.
