Mighty Microsoft in the Fifth Dimension

And for their next act, they're putting the finishing touches to Windows 8, and calling it "Windows 10". They passed on calling it "Nine" because nein in German means "No" and that might not help their frazzle-assed reputation much.

Branding it with the number "10" lets them ride on the coattails of the highly successful PC-BSD 10, which already has multiple desktops, and has had for several years. If you can't develop your own cutting edge technology, why not grab the other guy's? The other guy's in this case is something Microsoft certainly isn't - a total freebie. You can donate, but you can't buy it. Now there's a concept whose time has come! See for yourself - click here!
