I'm always learning....

MSNBC and Rachel Maddow, bless her precocious posterior, are a veritable wealth of knowledge about American culture and the denizens inhabiting that confrontational territory, especially those engaged in politics and all its weird and wonderful complexities.

Rachel has introduced me to something she calls "The Partisan Lizard Brain", and I can hardly wait for the movie! Watching all those endless acceptance speeches and gracious farewell thank-yous by all those semi-literate politicos
convinces me beyond doubt that every last one of them has kissed the Blarney Stone. Even those of limited vocabulary are so full of 'BS' it's a wonder the grass of the USA isn't greener than in Ireland, where a writer like me is looked upon as a failed conversationalist. The more eloquent among them, if 'BS' was music, would be leading a symphony orchestra, I'm sure.

And America's politics are so confrontational that they're losing their expensively won position of world dominance simply because they've lost sight of who their real enemies are; stupidity being foremost among those. Foreign nations do not need to vanquish America. America is doing that exceptionally well for itself.
