Windows Technical Preview: Aero Glass for Win 8.1

In one of the Feedback items for this Technical Preview recently, someone was wishing that we'd bring back the Aero Glass features for window frames, etc., and for some of us, those never left. You just have to know where to find them.

So please take a closer look at this screen, and you will notice that the top edge of this Opera browser is transparent, and you can read my desktop clock through it. Now look above the Notification Area, lower right corner, and you will see the name and the URL for what does this. It's a program made in Germany, for Windows 8 and 8.1, but it seems to work in Tech Preview too, even though its maker says that's "experimental". Hey! I love experimenting. That's why I'm testing this.

...and here's maybe a cleaner view...

I'm definitely getting that glass effect in the window frame, even though its creator isn't yet sure that it will work in this latest build of Tech Preview.

I wonder if my success with this has anything to do with having added into the system the most recent DirectX 11? That seemed to fix the problem with Stellarium, so maybe it worked with this too. (If it works, don't fix it!)
