Pictures worth a thousand words...


Gene Autry, The Lone Ranger, Buck Rogers, and Flash Gordon would never believe this. They thought the Saturday Matinee was here to stay.

Up in the Yukon Territory in 1967, in a little village with a large aboriginal population, I noticed the young native guys usually left the western movies before the endings. So I asked one why. He looked at me as if I was an idiot, and replied, "Because we like to leave while our side's still winning."
