English Bay this morning...

Thanks to KatKam for this view of the bay from near Burrard Street Bridge, and the mouth of False Creek, in the heart of downtown. This is looking northwest over English Bay and Burrard Inlet. Those ships are in the 'parking lot' awaiting their turns at the various wharves and docks of the inner harbor. The grassy area across the bridge is Vanier Park, and the building with the cone-shaped roof is the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, with our Planetarium directly beneath that cone-shaped roof, in a circular room seating about 200, with the best sound system in town. We had Pink Floyd music and laser light shows there on weekends for over 20 years, and they were fantastic. Especially so if you breathed deeply in the washrooms before entering the theater. And it also has great planetarium shows too.

Speaking of the planetarium, you can have your own now on your computer, and it's a magnificent 'freebie' you can get on this website.
