More US Politics...

Sometimes, it sounds like fiction, but you just can't make this stuff up!

He's a Baptist minister, it says. Makes me glad I converted from Baptist to Roman Catholic. We've got our problems too, but at least we realize it.

H.L. Mencken said: "We must respect the other fellow's religion, but only in the sense and to the extent that we respect his theory that his wife is beautiful and his children smart."

Will Rogers said: "A difference of opinion is what makes horse racing and missionaries."

Lenny Bruce said: "Every day, people are straying away from the church and going back to God."

And Seneca, the Roman philosopher and advisor to Emperor Nero once said: "Every man prefers belief to the exercise of judgement."

And Gallagher, the standup comic, said "You couldn't get the Ten Commandments through Congress if Moses was buying the drinks!"
