A cautionary tale...

If you're trying to re-install Malwarebytes Anti-malware, and you see this.....

...instead of the normal installation processes, it means you forgot something, and the something you forgot was to disable your other antivirus programs before you started all this. And to first of all make sure there's nothing wrong with your Windows itself, run PowerShell in Admin mode, using these commands to confirm it's all there and alright....

...and if you're asking yourself "How did he get those colors of text and background in that window?" the answer is "Look at the left end of the title bar of the window, and click on that tiny little icon, and select 'Properties' from the dropdown which appears." You can choose all those details as you wish....

...and when you've confirmed Windows itself is in fighting trim and all there, and you've temporarily turned off protection from other antivirus programs, you will be successful installing and running Malwarebytes Anti-malware. Don't forget to turn on those others now that this one's back on the job.
