Windows 7 is back!

Like that old song says, "Everything old is new again..." and it's nice to have it back where it belongs, in the system partition of this three-partition drive.

Windows 7 continues to be the crowning achievement of Mighty Microsoft, and it is still the most popular flavor of Windows, no matter what the hype says. There's a good reason for that. It's a rock-solid platform, proven and reliable, and it works even when your horny babysitter doesn't. Any questions?

And for all you Windows 10 enthusiasts, I have some news: Malwarebytes tracks incoming invaders attempting to gain entry to this system, and there were several a day, originating in Russia and the Netherlands, while I was using Windows Technical Preview. Since I dumped that, Peace has returned to the valley, so I can only conclude that testing Windows 10 can be hazardous to your computer's security, unless you have two or three trustworthy security programs installed and up-to-date. The "bad guys" are also testing Windows 10, for all the same reasons you are. And if I was The Head Guru at Microsoft, I'd get the kids working on a vastly-improved version of Windows Defender - one that actually can grab incoming shit and effectively deal with it. And wouldn't that be a pleasant change?

Oh, and by the way - if you re-install Windows 7 now, you're looking at over 188 updates to be re-installed after you get done with the DVD of it....so don't plan on doing anything else with it for a while, like anytime today...
