Browsers: Internet Explorer gets the boot.....

All of this is 'way overdue. When Firefox began whupping Microsoft's ass in the browser market a few years back, and Microsoft began crying tears the size of footballs about it, some of us suggested "If you can't lick 'em, join 'em!" And some of us begged them to give us the option of disabling I.E. in favor of another browser of our choice, like Firefox, or Opera, or Chrome, or Maxthon Cloud. At last, we're getting some of that, and it's certainly time. The days when Microsoft could tell us what we can have or not have are long gone! We've even got a free alternative to Windows now, and that too is a welcome development.

This is my oldest operating system, Windows 7 SP1, and you'll notice in the Task Bar there's no icon for Internet Explorer. My other two operating systems installed on this drive, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, don't have it either. And the world didn't end, and the sky didn't fall. In fact, everything seems to be running a lot smoother now. And that's not just random coincidence. Trust me.
