The story of a fence....

This was yesterday....

The old fence was submerged in overgrown shrubbery that provided beautiful blooms in season, but kept the fence quietly rotting away out of sight. It took about two weeks to remove all the shrubbery, dig out roots, remove rotted fencing, and lay the foundation of the replacement, then build a frame for the new fence panels.

By lunchtime today, this many new panels were completed. Considering the rainy weather, it seemed very good progress.

By 5:00 p.m. today, this was how it looked. Almost finished, except for the latticework to be added along the top at the left end, near the homes. Behind that right-hand section, there are some nice foxgloves growing near the kids' playhouse, and I was fortunate enough to get a picture of those before the fence blocked my view again.
