Arriving slowly
The leaves are coming out......
And the flowers are blooming.....
But the snow isn't melting very fast in the hills nearby.

Work in progress
They are still working on the Marine Drive overpass at the north end of Lions Gate Bridge.
Nearby, work continues on replacing the westbound lanes bridge over the Capilano River on Marine Drive, between the north end of Lions Gate Bridge and the Park Royal area of West Vancouver.
And I found some yellow Camellias on my way to look at the construction job.

The middle of April looks like this -
And yes, that's frost on the rooftops, and yes, it's unusual for this late in the spring around here.

The Speed Test gadget in the left margin
If you've recently tried to use the Speed Test, and it hasn't worked, that's because the company merged with another one, and the old links no longer worked. It is now re-installed and working again. Click on it to go to the site and select a city from which to check on your internet speed. It does a short download and upload test, and tells you how your computer performs.

Looking good....
One of two Camellias on the front lawn, looking better as more blooms open.
And today is Patch Tuesday, and it's a big one - so check your updates, Folks.

Blooming, at last....
The neighbor's tree is finally out in bloom, about a month late this year.
Other things are starting to bloom too.

A clear view of the hills
There's more snow up there now than we usually get in an average winter and by now it has usually begun melting.

Spring is coming slowly
The snow line is still very low on the mountains here.
But the Camellias are coming out and looking lovely.

Snow on the rooftops
Once again overnight, more snow on the upper parts of the hills. Can't help wondering if the weather will ever warm up.

About Windows Sidebar Gadgets
In case you have third-party gadgets (those not supplied by Microsoft in Windows) and you'd like to know where they are in your files, here's the story.
There are two places where these gadgets are filed in your system. For the gadgets that come with Windows as "standard equipment", those are filed in Program Files\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\(name of it).
For third-party gadgets, (those not provided with Windows) these are all filed in your normally-hidden AppData folder, which you can find by unhiding that, and then looking for Users\(your username)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\(gadget name).
If you get an "access denied" because it's in use in another program or some excuse like that, and you can't be bothered tracking that down, or don't know how, but still want to be rid of it, then get Emco's MoveOnBoot from Emco Software which you can find here. This will remove during a reboot anything you don't want in there, and there's a new revision of it just out. And trust me, it works!
