It's nice to have money.....

And be living just a stone's throw from our resident billionaire's place.

Looking for lunch....

Fresh snow on the peaks today

Steaming...

The sun came out for a few minutes after a cool rain, and this is the rooftop across the street as it warmed up.

Melting, at last....

The snow on this slide area is usually gone by now. Welcome to Global Warming, Kiddies! My theory: this will eventually become another ice age perhaps. The warming increases evaporation, which increases moisture in the air, which increases precipitation, which causes cooling, which results in snow instead of rain, and there you have it: another ice age.

Computer hint.....

You may already have thought of this, but if not, then try this if your mouse begins to get a bit sticky instead of sliding smoothly on whatever you're using it on..... sprinkle a little baby powder or talcum on the spot where you use it, and spread it around evenly. The mouse will love it, and so will you.

The Seawall Walk in West Vancouver

Taken from the pier at the foot of 25th Street in West Vancouver, looking east toward Lions Gate Bridge and the inner harbour.

Mystery solved....

This isn't a Dogwood - it's a white Magnolia, says our head gardener.

The mists of time.....

A more artistic version of the shot below this, before the fog lifted.

Zooming in....

There's some noise in this because it's around 30 or 40X, but it isn't too bad when we can count the branches on trees that are between 3 and 4 miles away in less than ideal light conditions.

The leaves are mostly out now....

And it's a nice shade of green.

Fifty years for $50

The picture is of the front cover of a new book celebrating the 50th anniversary of the founding of B.C. Hydro, and it will only cost you $50.00.

The picture shows the original project on the Peace River, and was taken before the reservoir had reached its normal operating level. When it was built in the 1960s it was one of the 25 largest hydro sites in the world.

Spring Cleaning

In case the weather improves, it will be nice to have clean windows. His bucket (at the foot of the ladder) fell off the roof a while ago, and we hope he doesn't do that too.

More flowers

This is a couple of days old, because the weather isn't nice today (again).
