The reason it has the black stripes is because it is made by splicing two pictures together, and hen cropping one end of that, and then reducing the width to fit my monitor screen resolution (1680 by 1050). Once it was resized down to 1680 wide it was 730 high, instead of the 1050 - so I added the stripes to fill it out. I guess I could have left it almost two images wide, but then Google would automatically shrink it, and it would be very wide but not very high....
