City Works Project....
One guy operating the machine, and three guys watching - it's almost like the Mexican Army, with three colonels for every private. I never had a job like that....
Ray you never worked for the DOT. They always have one guy shovelling and at least 3 watching.I worked for 2 Summers with them on HWY.11 between Kenogami and Matheson.I was 14,had no Drivers license and used my Boss'es little Studwbaker 1/2 ton to bring the guys water. A all day job.
When I was 14, my Dad was rebuilding our house and putting a limestone basement under it, and I spent all summer carrying rocks from a pile in the garden to the old mason under the house putting them in place in the basement walls. By the time that was done, I was more than ready to run away from home.
