More flowers

These are the miniature ones - not the regular larger ones.

And I don't know what these are, but they're cute little things.

  1. Hi, Ray...those cute little blue flowers are called (are you ready for this? Don't forget, now! ;-) 'Forget-Me-Not's.' :-)

NICE that you have had time to get out and take pics of things that I tell myself - every year - that I'm going to get out and finally get pics of! I LOVE all three items that you feature: the miniature daffodils; the forget-me-nots; and...the beautiful cherry blossoms!! LOVE the smell of those!! :-)

I actually got a shot of some pretty violet crocuses, just last week. Not the greatest shot but...at least I had the camera with me...for once! :-)

I'm hoping to be able to come up and see Butchart Gardens, finally, this year. I've been trying to get there all my life!!

    Enjoy your Spring! :-)

Thank you, My Dear, for this helpful information. I love taking pictures of our flowers, and we have many kinds, but I'm an ignoramus when it comes to the names of them.

This development sits on 12 acres, and has a staff of 3 to 4 gardeners
    planting, weeding and replacing the
    various flowers during the seasons.
For three of the past four years, our gardens have won the local city contest for best landscaping,
and now they don't want to let us enter for a while, to give others a chance. It's hard to be humble when you're that good.

And i do hope you get up to see the Butchart Gardens. You'll enjoy it, I'm sure. There used to be a some lovely gardens here in North Vancouver, called Park and Tilford Gardens, located at a local distillery, but it was closed and sold to a developer, and they put in a shopping center where those lovely gardens used to be. Some of the flower beds were circular, and covered with clear plastic domes in the cold weather, and heated, so
there were lovely flowers blooming even in winter. It was just lovely.
Too bad they didn't save the gardens when the distillery closed.

In Vancouver, there's usually some nice flower beds in Queen Elizabeth Park, at Cambie Street and West 33rd Avenue, and you can also enjoy a nice view of downtown from there because it is on a hilltop. There`s also the Bloedel Conservatory with its geodesic dome and tropical jungle inside, if the city fathers haven`t closed it by the time you arrive - they`re threatening to. It is also in that same park. There`s a nice restaurant up there too, if you get hungry looking at the sights.

You're welcome. Glad that I could help. :-)

I am same...in both cases; I just happened to know those little cuties 'cuz there were some, at this house we bought!! :-) One of these days, I plan to put a photo-sharing site together...so there will be a place where others can see my flower shots. They're nothing "big deal;" I, like you, just happen to enjoy taking snaps of them and appreciating them. :-)

Right! :-) Must be nice to have such a lovely visual to look at, locally.

Yes. I suspect that that will be a visual HEAVEN...as well as a BLAST to shoot!! :-P

What a shame. I can remember living in a place where I just HOPED that they would leave a single bare acre alone; not develop it into housing (but they did!!)...and make it a beautiful PARK, instead!! What a concept, hey?! All everyone ever thinks of is MONEY!! :-(

That did sound lovely!! And...you're right: too bad they didn't save it!! :-(

Thanks for ALL the great tips, Ray! The spots sound WONDERFUL!!

I'm HOPING to get to Vancouver...and take in the aquarium, also.

Here's some BEAUTIFUL flower shots that I just received on my Twitter. Hope you enjoy! Have a great day!
