Ray, I showed this to a friend and I think that he may have figured it out.
Look closely at his shoe on the surface. It's unnaturally flat against the surface and it never moves and it's long. This is solidly attached and attached to it is a flat steel bar going up the inside of his pant leg. Attached to that is a seat, on-which he's sitting. To that is a chair back that he's resting on.
For this to work he must get into position under cover, because the pants and shirt must be put on in the correct sequence as he sits down.
If you look closely at the back of his shirt as the view changes, you can see the outline of some of that backrest under it.
Unless he has a bladder the size of a large watermelon they must come and wheel him off to the washroom periodically. That stand he's on may have retractable wheels.
