I'm not sure what the story on that one is - but the "no accidents" bit is obviously not strictly true - although it doesn't appear to have been into anything really serious. It maybe went through a hedge or something, because one side of the front fender is also cracked around it's fastener point. But there's no evidence of it being laid down in a hurry on the road.
Maybe it hit a bird or a little old lady in the crosswalk.....
I'm going to get a couple of short bolts & nuts with big flat washers to hold both sides of that crack together so it has some support and doesn't vibrate in the gentle breezes at a hundred miles an hour... (this baby really moves!)
Looks like the previous owner had a mishap...What's his story on the windshield?
