Favorites: Another version of 'Santa Claus Is Coming To Town'

This goes back to an album called 'Jingle Bell Jazz' and the copy that I have is a re-issue of it that substituted 'Deck The halls' with Herbie Hancock & gang for the original's rendition of 'Frosty The Snowman' by The Dukes of Dixieland.
(Personally, I'd have preferred the Dukes of Dixieland doing 'Frosty'...) and this Brubeck Quartet recording of 'Santa Claus Is Coming To Town' was done in New York City on June 2nd, 1961. I've noticed over the years that those who record Christmas music always seem to do it in a happier mood in the middle of summer than during the actual season. I wonder what that tells us?

Anyway, here's a swinging version of an old favorite from 'way back when....
