Windows 10: "What do you think of it?"

That's the question Tom in New York asked me this morning, and rather than give everyone a long rant, let's hear from Mighty Microsoft about it first.....

And while thinking about all this, I used Web Notes on Google's Search Page, just to show what it does in the new browser.....

And as you can see, this wasn't planned - it just happened - like all good Doodles do. You just let yourself get carried away.....

  1. Good job at slithering away with that one, good ole buddy.
I know that you've been working with pre-release software and that always has problems. From what I "see" as an outsider, it appears to be an upgrade from the Windows 7 platform. It seems to have that look to it.

That's really what I was asking about Ray. Sort of the look and feel of it as well as ease of use. Not the technical stuff that we all know and hate...

  2. Hi, Tom.....

Yes, I sort of sensed that's where you were coming from...
and Yes, it does have more of a "Windows 7" feel about it,
because lots of us loved and still love features in Win-7,
and we aren't prepared to let those slide into obscurity
if we can help it. And apparently, we can help it....

Thousands, if not millions of us have expressed our wishes
to keep certain features or styles in our latest Windows,
and Microsoft has been listening. It's not a "carbon copy"
of our beloved Win-7, because that wouldn't be progress -
but Win-10 is striving to become more of what its users like,
and less of what they don't - and Thank God we're now being
listened to back at Headquarters where they've finally realized
    the value of "Feedback".
