To Tom, in New York.....

Hi, Tom!
Got it yesterday afternoon, as you suggested, and the nice young lady who pointed me in the right direction at Indigo Books said, "It's a great read! And it will be a movie soon..." Thanks for the "heads up", Tom, and enjoy your day...

  2. Thanks, Tom -

I haven't got started on the book yet, but I will have
it waiting for the next time I want to just sit back
and read something. Thanks for the helping hand!

  3. AOK. It's suppose to rain this afternoon so I think I feel some readin' time in my near future...

    Did you watch the trailer?

  4. No, I haven't yet - I've been kind of side-tracked lately
by another visit to smart young Internal Medicine Specialist,
who has me now set up for a CT Scan in August.

He seems quite set on keeping me around far past my Expiry Date,
and I haven't got the heart to tell him it's probably a lost cause...
He wants to see if he can find anything else to give me pills for,
or maybe snip out. We're thinking maybe kidney function deterioration,
but we need more look-see before he can say for sure. And he's also
wondering about the colon and occult blood from it. It's a very little
bit so far, but he wants that checked too. I'm becoming high-maintenance,
it seems, and that's a nuisance, because I feel quite OK. I look like
hell, but that's nothing new for me. That's just too many bad habits
over too many years in the past. And "the past" is the operative term there.
So I guess "time will tell".

I often wonder Ray. Do you think you'd be in any better shape if you didn't have bad habits in the past? I know of folks that have tried to destroy their bodies, but live to a ripe old age. Then there are those health freaks that die on the treadmill. It seems there's a large chunk of the "luck of the draw" at play here.
