But seriously - if our statistics are to be believed, then we're very rapidly breeding ourselves into a veritable hell on earth, where almost everything will be in short supply, especially intelligence, fresh air, and regular lunches. The very last thing we need is to almost double our life expectancy. I'd have to call that the ultimate stupidity.
It isn't how long we're here, but rather what we did while we could that really matters. My Pet Rock has already outlived us all by thousands or millions of years, but it hasn't contributed anything to the improvement of our species. I haven't contributed a hell of a lot either, but at least I'm trying. And talk is cheap because the supply exceeds the demand!
