Speaking of Summertime, let's hear from the man himself, George Gershwin, from an original recording on a disc called 'Gershwin Plays Gershwin'.....
I started this stroll down Memory Lane yesterday with Red Nichols and his Five Pennies doing their rendition of 'I Got Rhythm', and now maybe it's time we had George Gershwin himself show us how he played it, with variations. The sound quality isn't the best, but this is a classic nevertheless, and worth hearing...
