When I was a mean little kid, barely able to see over the top edge of the workbench in the garage, there was an old wind-up RCA Victrola out there, and
it had no spare needles, so I used a very small finishing nail as a needle, and my favorite old 78 RPM record to play on it was this one, by Jan Garber and His Orchestra, from 1934. It's still one of my favorites over 70 years later. Every time I hear this tune, I'm back in that garage, winding up the old Victrola again.
Here's another from Jan Garber and his Orchestra from the Roaring Twenties.
