Here's why we have security programs....



Malwarebytes, strictly speaking, isn't an anti-virus; it's intended to supplement the anti-virus, and it does that beautifully by catching and stopping things that are missed by regular A/V programs. It also warns of incoming malware attempts, and shows the IP Address from which they are coming, so you can add it to a "blocked" list.

And what can I say about "Bitdefender"? Just that it's the number one pick of the crop of this year's free anti-virus programs, and it gets a very high rating for catching the bad stuff, the semi-bad stuff, and the just plain antisocial ones. It runs unobtrusively in the background, and requires no help from you to do its job. It just works. You'll like it. I do.
