Fortunately not all of that wood will end up as firewood for the fifty-plus chimneys in that development, although it would smell better while burning than those sawdust and glue things they call fireplace logs these days. And as we see, some of that timber is just as good as any from the back woods, and maybe better.
From those five trees, they got two truckloads of logs, plus a lot of firewood, and the branches made a couple of loads of mulch.
ReplyDeleteYou could do a little stop-motion video documenting the felling of the trees.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend.
"A little stop-motion video"....
ReplyDeleteI could, if I knew how, but it's too late now - they're done.
(peace returns to the valley)
I haven´t done them myself, though. But I´ve seen some on flickr. Basically, they are like a slide show: still pictures in a row, but pretty fast, so it´s almost like a real video. You could use the photos which you took from the workers.
ReplyDeletePeace and quiet, yeah, worth a kingdom...
have a good Sunday.
