Today is Canada's birthday....

This is Canada Day, and 145 years since the country was begun with the signing of the British North America Act, joining the first four provinces in 1867 into a separate nation called the Dominion of Canada.

Sometimes, I wonder about the answers to questions that are found on Google. Rather than use the calculator today, I asked Google "How old is Canada?" and
one of those answers said : "Canada is as old as the rest of the world, approximately 6600 years." I have the greatest difficulty believing that in this day and age anyone with half an eye and a functioning arsehole could possibly believe that the world is only 6600 years old. Hell, we've got cavemen older than that, and some would say a few of them are still with us and in government.

When God said, "Let there be light" I'm sure God meant intelligence as much as illumination. But there's a lot of argument over that, obviously, and some of us were born stupid and have been losing ground ever since. One of those wrote that blurb quoted above, saying the world is only 6600 years old.
