No nutritional advantage....
There's no nutritional advantage in organic food compared to regular food, so says this USA Today article, so we just may be wasting our money paying more for organic labeled vegies. Suspicions confirmed!
Ray, there are other issues than a foods nutritional value. Think about all the pesticides that non-organic farmers use.
The issue is not the nutritional value. I mean an orange is an orange, no matter how you cut it. But, the "stuff" that is on it, is an entirely different issue.
This is kind of how our politicians speak to us. They say one thing, but it's not the whole truth...
They mention something about that near the end of the article, saying that there's other considerations, as you point out.
And you're right - there's a lot of what I'd call 'spin-doctoring' going on not only in politics, but with many other things these days. The business of telling half-truths is practically down to a science these days and not everyone is smart enough to realize that we're being bamboozled most of the time by a spin-doctor crafting his story to get the maximum advantage from it with only certain selected facts. These days, almost nobody tells you the whole story, because it isn't to their own advantage to do that, so you have to do a lot of the 'homework' for yourself. That's where something like Google really is a blessing, because we can now get another side to the story from somebody else who may have a different axe to grind.

Hi, Tom -
