For the Democratic National Convention starting Tuesday in Charlotte, North Carolina, we're being assured that nobody will be talking to an empty chair, because President Obama prefers full ones. And we are also being assured that the seats will all be full.
But all's fair in love and war, and this is some of each. To say that the electorate is polarized would be an understatement. Our Toronto Star spoke to some of the people down there and here's how that went. Apparently the natives are restless, or more specifically, a little more than a little fed up with the same old 'same old' of it all. We know the feeling. And we wish them well.
