Space travel planning...
There are no habitable planets anywhere within our reach, and as we've seen, Mars is a barren airless wasteland, best explored as we're doing now, with robotic machines.
To reach the nearest other star system, Alpha Centauri, traveling at the maximum speed of one of the Space Shuttles ( about 17,600 mph) it would take us about 165,000 years to travel those 25.6 trillion miles. And the Alpha Centauri system is a triple, with A and B forming a binary, and C some 13,000 AU distant. Which raises doubts about planets in stable orbits suitable for life or for landing sites.
