Star and planet-gazing...

This is all fascinating science for those involved, but there's two things wrong with it: (1.) It promises to be expensive; and (2.) No matter if we do find planets ready, willing, and anxious for colonizing, there's no way we can get there with any kind of known technology in anything less than hundreds of thousands of years, or more. So in that sense, it's largely a waste of effort.
If God intended us to screw up the whole universe, that stuff would have been
placed a lot closer. There's a reason it's so far away.
