Let's talk Graphics Programs for a moment...

Maximum PC sings the praises of Gimp, the free and open source photo editor and image-manipulation program, in case Microsoft's old Paint doesn't quite do it for you now.....

But they're forgetting something.... Paint.NET, and I can hear you asking "What's that?". So let me explain; Paint.NET was originally a project sponsored by Microsoft in which some university grad students were given permission to modify the old original MS Paint into something more modern. The result was a totally new program called Paint.NET, and the name comes from the fact that it relies heavily on Microsoft's dot Net Framework to perform its magic.

Paint.NET is a great program, and like Gimp, is also a 'freebie', but unlike Gimp it has a zillion plug-ins that do wonderful things. "Like what?" you ask. Well, for example, let me show you one..... Here's a picture of Ashley Marks, the Florida Bikinis model, on a beach. I'm going to use one of Paint.NET's plug-ins to put her deeper in the water.....

This, in all her splendor, is Ashley in the unaltered photo, and now watch.....

And you can't do this with Gimp. Not even if you wanted to. And sometimes, I want to. So if you might want to too, you can start here, by clicking this link.
