You and your Security Apps

Some are better than others. I like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware because it stops things that regular anti-virus misses, and it warns you when something nasty is trying to get in, as well as showing you its IP Address, so you can find out where it came from. I also like Superantispyware because it grabs adware and gets rid of it, and you'd be surprised how much there is. I also like Avast Internet Security because it has a feature called 'Boot Scan' which can scan your computer during a reboot, when the active memory is unloaded, and it has access to all the hidden places where the bad guys can hide things in system files. And if you want to know if you've been infected, get Norton Power Eraser and run it. It does a scan and finds things you maybe didn't know you had, and then cleans it up. These have worked (and are working) for me, and can help you too. And I hasten to add that these all work well together so you don't need to worry about conflicts among them.
