Was it too easy to drive and park in there? Didn't they have enough obstacles to avoid? We will never know what was going through the management's heads as they reached the decision to add these curbs and subtract from the already-limited space in there. The good news is that we are assured of our supply of village idiots for some time to come, apparently.

They have been installing these curbs, a lot if them, over here as well, to calm down traffic flow in residential areas. I'm not a lover of neither these nor road humps...

ReplyDeleteRoad humps? I always thought a road hump was when you pulled off on the shoulder, and got in the back seat with your little honey and humped for a while!
Over here, they are called "Speed Bumps". In the U.K., they're called
"Sleeping Policeman". Where I grew up back east where they got real winters, come Spring we had similar
bumps caused by frost heaves on the highways. I once hit one of those on an old concrete road, and
the car was airborne for about two car-lengths then came down so hard it broke the rear shocks right off the frame.
These curbs are OK I guess, but when painted, they soon look like hell, because the tar bleeds out of the asphalt through the paint, making an ugly mess.
Nice to see you're back, Monsieur - I was beginning to wonder if you were being held prisoner by one of those hot little honeys on Grand Canaria. :)
Haha, my little honey bees...
ReplyDeleteWent on a day trip to The Netherlands today, it´s just a 2 hour´s drive away from where I live.
I love that country.
And I´ll be back to the honey pot in July, haha.
Greetings my friend, have a good weekend.
And you, Monsieur!
