If you were around in 1976, you probably do. Polydor put out an LP of the music from it, done by its crew of young people, in their roles as older adults in this send-up of depression-era gangster movies. The kids did a great job of it too. Here's an example: 'My Name Is Tallulah'
And here's one we can't miss - 'Tomorrow'
And in case Tallulah looks familiar, she should - it's Jodie Foster. How 'bout that? She was about 14 at the time.
Good song that 'Tomorrow.' I'm betting, pretty much everything, that that young man was lip-synching, though! Something about how tiny he is and how "manly" the singer's voice is... lol!
ReplyDeleteThe young lady does quite a nice little bit of shuffling in those high heels! :-)
I'm going to have to watch this. Certainly not the Warren Beatty version, now, is is?! ;-)
Sorry, Ray; hadn't read the first part of your post, when I posted my comment re: the young man lip-synching. That must be quite an "interesting" movie to see kids playing adults.
ReplyDeleteI have often wished we could have seen more of Jodie, through the years. I've always thought she did such a great job, whenever I saw her.
