Gonna hafta start puttin' on some sunshine songs! Lezzee: John Denver 'Sunshine on my Shoulders;' 'You are My Sunshine;' oh but I had to cheat, after that! And, sadly, it looks like you're gonna hafta keep that type of song playin' for the ENTIRE WEEK by the looks of your weather report! :-(
Back in the spring, when it looked like we might be in for a crappy summer, they were saying "Don't worry, it's going to be warmer and drier than usual for July and August according to our long-range statistics."
Might I suggest they forget those, and just look out the damned window? Stay dry, TC, or maybe tie a boat to the back porch....
It's almost tempting to take your advice, but I ran away from the east back in 1968, and these days, I hardly ever admit I came from there. I got tired of six months of winter and four months of poor skiing and two months of weather warm enough so we could take off the long-johns so the black flies had better targets for lunch. And rivers where the fish swam backwards to keep the mung out of their eyes...
