This is Trish's Apple Cake....
And the hardest job I've had all day was to take this picture before eating it. This is so delicious, it's practically sinful. If the whole city knew how good this is, we would all be trampled in the rush to get some. Her banana bread and butter tarts are equally tasty, and with treats like those, a turkey would definitely be an anticlimax.
Thank you, Trish, for the nicest Thanksgiving treats anyone's given me in a long time. Your baking is the best I've tasted in many years. Don is a lucky guy to have you creating goodies like these. Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Geez Ray, We had a extra turkey
ReplyDeleteleg we were going to send but you
are too ful of Trish's cake.
@ Peter -
ReplyDeleteMother always said that Turkey is a country between the Mediterranean and the Black Seas, full of people who wear funny hats called Fezzes. You shouldn't try to eat one. They aren't good for you.
Trish's Apple Cake, on the other hand, will make you fat & happy & smiling all day, and you'll become a much better athlete while trying to stay ahead of the other kids on the block who are trying to take it away from you. Any questions?
Yeah...I got one...
ReplyDeleteWhere's my piece?
You must have some really nice neighbors who bring you treats like delicious Apple Cake...I never heard of Canada's Thanksgiving Day till today...I looked it up in Wikipedia and found out it coincides with our Columbus Day...So now I can remember to send you a greeting when I look at my calender next year and see Columbus Day approaching...
“ A Day of General Thanksgiving to Almighty God for the bountiful harvest with which Canada has been blessed – to be observed on the 2nd Monday in October. ”
Since 1971, Canadian Thanksgiving has coincided with the observance of Columbus Day in the United States.[1]
Cheers ...youse guys
