Are we nostalgic for Osama Bin Missing?

Time marches on, trampling everything underfoot. The single-mindedness and purpose of his personal 'Central Command' having been replaced now by a raggedy-assed fraternity of eager but uncoordinated lesser lights, are we actually playing apologist for Bin Laden? One hopes not!

These latest blood-thirsty and trigger-happy crusaders seemingly originating in Syria during its own internal strife prompts a comparison with Ukraine's rebellion and receiving assistance for that rebellion from Lt. Colonel Putin's loyal but misguided Soviet Union Revivers. So today's question everything asks:-
"Can we connect the dots from the barbarous Islamists spreading across the Middle East back to Putin's cravings for re-establishing another Soviet Union?"
Are we looking at another nefarious 'Putinization' for control of warmer climes? Is that the name of this game, Sapphire? Are we sure?
