Enterprise management platform....

If I'm understanding this correctly, then this management utility could possibly
be configured to work with (for example) Windows Updates to provide connected computers on the network with not only updates patches, but also the requisite security programming to protect and restore their systems in the event of a malicious software exploit, and act in real time, within 15 seconds.

You will note that one of its missionaries at a venture capital firm heavily involved in it is the former Boy Wonder from Microsoft, Steven Sinofsky.  And that being so, perhaps Mighty Microsoft may wish to take a pass on this one, even though it does sound too good to be true. And who knows? Maybe it is.

For example, they're bragging that an enterprise using this software can look at their systems, evaluate potential problems, and distribute corrective actions, all within fifteen seconds. Let's assume you're Lockheed Martin, for example - with world-wide facilities, and involvement in about a dozen U.S. Government branches, such as NASA, the USAF, CIA, IRS, USPS, US Navy, etc., etc. and you need to combat an invasive malicious exploit in your corporate network.... this seems at a glance to be slightly more time-consuming than a mere 15 seconds. The fact that simply communicating with all your far-flung enterprise locations over an Internet involving many various servers, and many 'hops' from one link's portion of the web to another's section along the way would introduce some real latency into the signal transmissions, just for starters. So I wouldn't bet the farm on that "fifteen seconds response time" if I were you.

But it's a grand theory, and I hope it really does work out in practice. I'd love a program that quickly and effectively handled both system upgrades and security without a lot of 'hands-on' from me. And I really do believe we could make the whole thing "idiot-proof" without reclassifying all those idiots, if we work at it.
