EU vs Google...

First, they took on Microsoft, and took it for a couple of billion US dollars, and now they're trying the same old caper with Google. They haven't got anything comparable over there to argue it's competing against, but that's not the name of the game. The EU has been up to its ass in alligators financially speaking ever since day one, and this seems to them to be a viable method of making a few bucks from those who do know how.
